Markthalle Basel

MarkthalleWhether you’re just grabbing a quick bite or meeting with friends for lunch, Markthalle is a foodie paradise.

With plated cuisine from all over the world – including Argentina, the Balkans, England, Germany,  Italy, India, Japan, Lebanon, Scandinavia and Thailand – Markthalle really does offer something for everyone. There are also many options for vegetarians.

Set up like a food court, you can come in, choose your food and take a seat under the giant dome of the Halle, communal style.

There is also a seating area set up like a lounge room with comfy couches and arm chairs. The Markthalle is also child-friendly.

As well as an abundance of food on offer, there are also several stalls selling coffee – real, delicious coffee.

Lunch is usually on offer from about 11:30am until 2pm, Monday to Friday. Most stall holders speak English.
